The Kansas City Mavericks is the professional hockey team in the Kansas City metropolitan area. The team was formed in 2009, and they are a farm team for the Calgary Flames. The Mavs won the Mountain division championship in 2015–16.
The Mavs play their home games at the Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, MO. Remember to ring your cowbell to cheer on the Mavs during a power play! The home games are a great event for friends, family, and work events.

The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures has the biggest collection of miniatures in existence. The museum’s original collection began with joining the collections of Mary Harris Francis and Barbara Hall Marshall, close friends and keen collectors. The museum was opened in 1982 and is dedicated to antique toys and miniatures.
Visitors can view the 72,000 miniature models and antique toys. The museum continues to add to its collection and exhibits. The museum is handicap accessible. The National Museum of Toys and Miniatures is a place of wonder and imagination!
