Zona Rosa Town Center is an outdoor shopping center in the Northlands. The shopping center was designed to remind you of a historic downtown. Zona Rosa Town Center opened in 2004 and underwent an expansion in 2008.

Enjoy the beautiful landscaping as you stroll between shops! Some of the businesses are Build A Bear, Children’s Place, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Dillard’s, and Old Navy. They also have great restaurants at the mall including Buffalo Wild Wings, Granite City Food & Brewery, Hereford House, and Swagat Fine Indian Cuisine.

Springs Aquatic Center in Kansas City, MO

Springs Aquatic Center is a water park in Platte County that opened in summer 2006. It has a leisure pool, two big water slides, and a lazy river. There is also a children’s area with water jets and mini slides.

The water park also has an eight-lane competitive pool which has been used for the Northland Swim Conference. Springs Aquatic Center offers aqua fitness classes. The water park is open Memorial Day through Labor Day. Check their website for admission prices.

The Parkville Nature Sanctuary is a 115-acre wildlife sanctuary in Parkville, MO. At the trailhead, there are some picnic tables and a playground. The preserve has some of the best hiking trails in the region. It has 3.5 miles of wonderful trails through woods.
